Recipes | Veal with orange sauce

  • 1/2 cup of Virgin Sesame oil and 2 extra spoons for the vegetables
  • 800 gr veal fillet
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 4 spoons of corn flour
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 yellow and 1 red pepper cut into stripes
  • 25 gr ground ginger (optional)
  • 1 carrot diced
  • 100 ml red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 60 ml red dry wine
  • 4 spoons concentrated tomato juice
  • salt
  • boiled cauliflower or broccoli
 
     

Cut the veal into cubes, dip them into the beaten egg and remove them using a slotted spoon . Mix the salt with one spoon of corn flour and sprinkle it all over the meat. Leave it for a few minutes. Heat the sesame oil and fry the meat until it browns on both sides. To prepare the sauce, mix the vinegar with the sugar, the orange juice, the wine, the tomato juice, 150 ml water and the rest of the corn flour. Heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil into a frying pan and sauté the onions, peppers and ginger. Add the sauce to the meat and boil slowly stirring occasionally until it thickens.
