Recipes | Strudel filled with Tahini, Banana and Chocolate chips

  • 250 gr flour
  • 20 gr sesame flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 teaspoons of virgin sesame oil
  • 2 egg yolks
  • lukewarm water (as much as it is going to be needed)
  • virgin sesame oil

Sift the flour and the salt into an electrical mixer's bowl. Make a well, stir in the sesame oil, add the yolks and beat it in a kneading mode. Add water until the dough gets thick. Keep kneading until it scraps off the bowl sides easily. Continue on a surface until the dough becomes elastic and slippery. Form the dough into a ball and brush it with sesame oil. Wrap in plastic and let it rest for at least 1-2 hours. The dough mustn't dry out.

How to prepare the sheet

In a large floured surface divide the dough into 2 equal pieces and roll it with a rolling pin, brushed with sesame oil. Flour your hands. Stretch the dough with the back of your hands towards all directions until it becomes transparent and covers a surface of 1 square meter . Rectangle this sheet. Spread tahini over the 2/3 of the sheet, banana slices and chocolate chips. Bake for 25 minutes at 180oC. This desert should be a little moist. After it cools sprinkle with icing sugar.
